Arkady Volozh is a technology entrepreneur, investor, computer scientist, and philanthropist, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Yandex, one of the largest European technology companies that builds intelligent products and services powered by machine learning. He co-founded several successful IT enterprises, including InfiNet Wireless, a manufacturer of wireless broadband equipment, and CompTek International, one of the largest distributors of network and telecom equipment in Russia. Mr Volozh helped grow Yandex from a side project to a global technology player. A search technology pioneer, Yandex remains at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, having launched an intelligent voice assistant and introduced a driverless car, among other milestones set to shape the future.

Tigran Khudaverdyan was appointed Deputy CEO of Yandex N.V. and joined the company’s Board of Directors in 2019. Prior to this, from 2015, he served as CEO of Yandex.Taxi, and following its merger with Uber, served as the CEO of the combined business. He joined Yandex in April 2006, and since then has led several successful Yandex projects, including Yandex Browser and Yandex.Navigator. Tigran Khudaverdyan is a graduate of Moscow State University with a degree in Physics.

Elena Bunina is the General Director of Yandex LLC. She joined the company in 2007. In addition to her roles as head of the company’s Russian operations since 2017 and head of human resources since 2011, Ms Bunina oversees educational projects at Yandex. She is a co-founder and the driving force behind the Yandex School of Data Analysis, where she chairs the Computer Science Department. Since 2011, Elena Bunina has been Professor of the Higher Algebra Department at Lomonosov Moscow State University, where she has been lecturing since 2001. She also chairs the Data Analysis Department at the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Ms Bunina has a doctorate in Physics and Mathematics with over 50 published works on elementary properties of algebraic structures and mathematical logic. She is a graduate of the Independent University of Moscow, and has a PhD in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Ms Bunina sits on the supervisory board of the national program Data Economy Russia 2024, as well as the supervisory board of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. She is also a member of the expert council of Sirius, the national educational center for gifted children.
Elena Bunina is the General Director of Yandex LLC. She joined the company in 2007. Vadim Marchuk is Chief Operating Officer of Yandex. Vadim joined Yandex in 2016 as Vice President of Corporate Development; over the last five years he played a key role in all of the company’s strategic decision making and transactions, including capital raising and corporate restructuring. Vadim is a current member of the Boards of Directors of MLU B.V. and Yandex Self Driving Group and a former member of the Board of Directors of Yandex.Market and Yandex.Money. Vadim has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and consulting, having been a Managing Director at Sberbank Merchant Banking and an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan’s Global M&A Group in New York and London. Vadim Marchuk graduated from Grinnell College with a BA in Economics and holds an MBA degree in Finance from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Svetlana Demyashkevich has over 20 years of experience in financial management and consulting, primarily in the consumer and banking sectors. Prior to joining Yandex, Svetlana served as Chief Financial Officer of X5 Retail Group for four years, during which time Х5 strengthened its leadership in offline retail, achieved market leadership in e-grocery and went through its digital transformation, while improving its efficiency and returns. Under Svetlana’s leadership, X5 has built one of the most efficient and digitized finance functions among public companies in Russia. Svetlana has also held several senior positions at Alfa-Bank, including head of IFRS reporting, head of Financial Control, Head of IR and more recently Deputy CFO. She was also involved in the activities of the Boards of Directors of several Alfa Group companies.

Andrey Styskin is Head of Search, Advertising and Cloud Business Group at Yandex. In this role, Mr Styskin leads strategy and operations across the company’s Search, Commercial and Infrastructure departments, as well as supervises Zen and Cloud business units. He is also responsible for driving AI research, as well as the development of AI-based products and technologies, including the company’s voice assistant, machine translation and computer vision. Mr Styskin combines his role as Head of the Business Group (appointed in February 2021) with the position of Head of Search and Portal business unit (appointed in 2019). Prior to that, Andrey Styskin was leading the company’s Search division, and was head of Yandex’s web search ranking from 2012 to 2015, before that. He joined Yandex in 2007 to work on search algorithms. Mr Styskin has extensive industry and leadership experience, specializing in machine learning and ranking algorithms. He has a degree in Systems Analysis from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI).

In this role he is responsible for the strategy and management of these businesses as well as coordination, integration and realization of cross-segment synergies between them. Prior to this appointment in February 2021, Mr Shuleiko was Chief Executive Officer of Yandex.Taxi business unit. Mr Shuleyko joined Yandex.Taxi in 2015 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company following its merger with Uber in 2018. He is a co-founder of the restaurant delivery company Delivery Club, where he served as a key top manager for the five years prior to joining Yandex.Taxi. Mr Shuleyko is a graduate of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.

Prior to joining the company, he co-founded a software studio developing apps for social networks and created a rental finder for a popular Russian social networking website. He is a graduate of the faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at Saint Petersburg State University and currently sits on the council of the ‘Modern Software Engineering’ program at this university. Mr Kachmar was included into the Forbes Russia 30 Under 30 list in 2020.

Pavel Aleshin is Head of Classifieds division at Yandex, which comprises a real estate portal and property website, a job listings website, and an automotive portal and car classifieds website. In this role Mr Aleshin is responsible for operations, marketing and strategy of the company’s classifieds offerings.
Mr Aleshin joined Yandex to lead its Classifieds division in 2019, having previously had a 15-year long career at Yandex from 2001 to 2016. During this time, he had served in a number of key roles, including as head of the company’s comparison-shopping service Yandex.Market and its electronic payment system Yandex.Money, in addition to his role as the company’s Chief Information Officer. He first joined Yandex in 2001 as a software engineer and soon became responsible for the company’s payment, billing, and user metrics solutions.
Mr Aleshin has a degree in biomedical engineering from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Pavel has 15 years of experience in banking, including at Alfa-Bank and Sberbank. Since 2009, Pavel has held senior management positions in Sberbank, including Senior Managing Director and most recently Advisor to the First Deputy CEO of Sberbank, where he oversaw the strategic investment function and major M&A transactions.
