Yandex Metrica and AppMetrica have passed the ISO 27001 audit

Yandex Metrica, the company’s tool for website analytics, and AppMetrica, an all-in-one app analytics platform and a part of Yandex Ads portfolio of products, have confirmed their ISO 27001 certificate. It proves that the services fully comply with international information security standards.

ISO 27001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). For example, how it should be structured and what controls should be used.

The auditors assessed the extent to which management processes, use of technology and equipment comply with the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization. The audit results showed that the risk management system in Metrica and AppMetrica is built and developed in accordance with the best global practices and fully ensures information protection.

ISO 27001 is a global standard that establishes requirements for information security management in companies. Metrica first received ISO 27001 certification in 2019 and has confirmed it every year since then.

Earlier in September, Yandex published the SDK source code of AppMetrica. The company also previously published the source code of Metrica.
